It is a closed, needle-free extension set that provides safe and effective IV access for the infusion of IV fluids, medications and blood. It can be used safely in most clinical applications and patient care areas. The pump can be connected to peripheral IV catheters and other central catheters to deliver gravity or bolus infusions. Variants with anti-reflux valve eliminate the risk of reflux and therefore the risk of over-medication.
